The Raven Boys Tour 2012

I guess it must officially be getting close to fall because I can finally share my public tour events for The Raven Boys! I’ll be on tour/ away from home for a month, which is why I own 32 black tank tops and 16 pairs of identical jeans (American Eagle, in case you’re wondering). It’s also why folks at the end of the tour will get a slightly more slap-happy Maggie than folks at the beginning of the tour.

If you’re wondering what an event is like, here is a rough idea (though, sadly, this tour will lack Camaros and Tessas. The rest is applicable). (Also there are many slap happy videos from my tour last year on YouTube).

Like last year, I took a guitar and Sharpie’d all over it, and like last year, I’m going to be giving away this guitar to a reader at the launch event. Here it is (click to see it bigger):
The Sharpie Guitar for The Raven Boys

But in case you can’t make it to the launch event, I will be giving away things at the other events. Namely, the frames from The Raven Boys trailer, nicely matted. (You can get an idea of the other frames by watching the trailer).

RB kiss

And also some of the frames from The Scorpio Races trailer, which are weird and transparent, as you can see.

Anyway, I am very excited to be getting on the road again and seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. You can get more details and RSVP on the Facebook event link beneath each event. Come see me? Please?

  • Corey

    No signings in Virginia? Dang.

    • Anonymous

Im moving bak to VA next week & was so excited I might get to see Maggie… How could there be no VA signings?!

      • Corey

I know right? She lives in VA, I was hoping that there would be at least one in her home state!

  • None in Philadelphia? (*sad face*)
Looks like I’ll be making the 2 1/2 hour drive to Paramus, NJ then!

  • Jocelyne L.

If my wonderful mum accepts to drive me 6 1/2 hours to Brampton, I will be eternally grateful and will owe her A LOT of chocolate 😛 in the hopes of meeting you for the first time soon, Maggie! Cheers 🙂

  • Even though you’re not coming to South Carolina, you are going to my FAVORITE library in the whole world (mostly because it was my sanctuary growing up…I miss it): COOK MEMORIAL LIBRARY in my hometown of Libertyville, IL! Be sure to stop in Mickey Finn’s afterwords for a fabulous home brew and delicious ruben sandwich.

  • Sigh. No Pacific Northwest stops… and you’re beating me to Utah by a week.

  • Aw man, no Texas stops.

  • Anonymous

    Nope no Memphis
    *sighs dejectedly*

  • Kaida

I, like most everyone else, was unlucky… Oh well! When your in San Fransisco visit Muir Woods. I went to San Fran during summer vacation and my family and I went there, its was like seeing Shiver come to life! The Redwoods are beautiful! Sooooooooooooo excited for Raven Boys! And I’d like to mention how funny the videos from your last tour were, I’ve watched every single one XD.
p.s. We have tons of bookstores here in Nashville *nudge nudge* AND lots of fans

  • Renee

Have you ever thought of coming overseas? Please come to Australia!!!! I love al your books so much, they are inspiring and otherworldly and I just lose myself in them!
Would really like to meet you or talk to you!
    Love Renee

    • jasmine embers

      aah, me too!

  • Gwyneth

Cool! You aren’t coming to Tennessee, so it looks like I’ll be pleading my mom to drive me a few hours with my bestie to Illinois…see you then I hope!

  • jasmine embers

    no australia?

  • Lisa D.

This, is like an honor. No where else in Ontario. I’m ditching everything I have in my life that day to come. If there’s a math test the next day, I’m studying in the car. If I’m sick, well I better not be. CAUSE IM COMING. NOTHING CAN STOP ME!!!!!!!!
If this doesnt happen, I’ll like, cry. And Ill hold my books close to me and re-read Shiver for like the gazillionth time and keep crying at those parts where I always cry.
At least you’re signing the Raven Boys I pre-ordered 😀 That made my day then, and this made my day yesterday. WOO HOO for books.
Sorry for the ramble, I ramble when Im happy, and ecstatic, and nothing can ruin my happiness of getting to meet my role model/favourite author/awesomest person in the world.
    Yeah, I think I’m finished. 😀

  • Em

Aw! No SoCal? Everywhere in CA in 8 + hours away from where I live!

  • Is Brampton the only place you’re coming in Canada? That’s to bad.

  • Liz

I wish I could win the guitar for my son! He would love it, but alas, I can’t make it to Jersey.

  • Yay! NYC! NYC! NYC!

  • Fiorelis

    No Florida =[

    • Anonymous

      that’s what i was saying!

  • Looks like I’ll be driving to Brampton since it’s the only Ontario stop! Road trip!!!

  • littlefoot

Seriously bumming… four plus hours to the closest event and it’s not even for The Raven Boys (not to detract from other awesomeness). Why no cities in the South? Still, that guitar is sweet and the book was even better!

  • Rachel

No stops near LA? Sad sad….

  • Alyssa

Goodness i wish you’d come to south carolina or Charlotte but perhaps my momma’s boss will let me go with her to ny on her business trip and see you?

  • Tricia

Wish you’d come to Florida!! Love your books!!

  • Ashley

Awww, no Washington State stops :c
Oh well, can’t wait for the book to come out anyway!

  • When are you comming back to Germany, Maggie? 🙂 Would love to see you again!

  • So bummed not to see you in any part of Southern California. 🙁 Have fun!

  • I’m in the UK, hope you can get here next Spring, I would love to come meet you. I just got an ARC copy of Raven Boys and I can’t wait to read it!!! 😀

  • Oh my goodness, I would die to have a Maggie Stiefvater original on my wall – especially of The Kiss from The Raven Boys which is my laptop wallpaper currently. I do wish you’d bring some of the awesome to England when you’re next here 😉

  • Ynez

No So Cal Stops!!!! Come on! Dont’ leave us hangin.

  • T___________________T
One day, I’ll fly to the US and go to one of your events, even if that’s the last thing I’ll do in my life *O*

  • We be greatly be saddened in LA. Hear our multitudinous lamentations, and take pity upon us! (or at least trick David onto a commuter flight down to LAX!)

  • Hey! I’m going to come in the San Francisco one! 😀 Can’t wait to meet you Maggie! I’ve read the whole Shiver series and I love it! I really want to read The Raven Boys now too! When I go meet you, I’m going to buy it there!(: Can’t wait!

  • Beckie

    UTAH!! You’re coming to Utah!
I can’t believe it!! I’m so excited!! *Jumping, dancing, smacking things!!**
Yea, for making to the beautiful Northwest!!
I’m sure you can tell how many fans love you by the “dang you’re not comin to ___” but this time I’m not one of them!!
Can’t believe it! Been following your blog for 2yrs now and I’m very happy to meet the in-person Maggie!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  • Audry

No Frankfurter Buchmesse this year? You were one of the reason I was planning to go!!!!

  • Allow me to echo the moans for you to appear in SoCal or ANYWHERE in TX as I’m moving there in October. It seems strange to me that you’re booked for three locations within an hour or so of each other in NorCal but none near LA. And also Texas is a huge state! But alas, such is life. I’ll catch you on the next tour.

  • Christina

Hey Maggie! I was going to pre-order The Raven Boys for my kindle, but amazon doesn’t have it up for kindle, at least not yet. Do you know if it’s going to go on sale for kindle soon?

  • Leanne Bridges

Maggie! Oh, Maggie! Would you consider holding a frame to send to a country where you are not touring yet? Like, oh, I don’t know… Australia?
I pre-ordered my signed and doodled copy of Raven Boys when it was barely a twinkle in your eye but I would also love the opportunity to beat out the competition and win a frame from the trailer.
I am so excited, by the way. It is hurting me to have to wait. Yes. There is pain involved!

  • My friend is studying in San Francisco this year. I might send him along to meet you and then kindly ask him to mail his newly purchased copy of The Raven Boys back home to the UK so I can “look after” it until he comes back in the summer. Have a great trip!

  • *Sigh* No Florida 🙁

  • I am SOOOOO stoked to say.. that I WILL BE THERE when you’re in Traverse City, Michigan! I’d WALK the 85.7 miles if I had to. 🙂
