I’m revoltingly pleased to announce that I’ve finally finished animating and recording the music for the Sinner book trailer.

Here it is!

The book itself comes out July 1st in the U.S. (July 3rd in the UK). The song can be downloaded for free on my Soundcloud account.

You can find full tour date info here.

Great graphics, Coool song – Makes me Really want to read the book! As always, Never expect anything ordinary or seen-it-before from Maggie Stiefvater, she creates her own path, and it’s so fun to go see what she did this time! Always amazing, Never boring. Thank you again Maggie, I Love your work!

  • I love all your books so much! I’ve read all of your YA books so far. The first book of yours that I read was Shiver. I’d never liked werewolves much but I loved the concept of the book so I read it. I love love loved all of the Wolves of Mercy Falls books. (I’m currently re-reading them for the 4th time.) I’ve also read the Farie books and the Raven Boys. I just can’t wait for Blue Lilly, Lilly Blue and Sinner!
I wanted to share the lyrics of this song I heard because it reminded me of something Sam would write. (PS: I typed it from memory so it might not be 100% correct.)

Be Somebody by Thousand Foot Krutch
I’m just the boy inside the man, not exactly who you think I am
Trying to trace my steps back here again so many times
I’m just a speck inside your hand, you came and made me who I am
I remember where it all began so clearly

I feel a million miles away, still you connect me in your way
And you create in me something I would’ve never seen

When I could only see the floor, you made my window a door
So when they say they don’t believe, I hope that they see you and me

After all the lights go down, I’m just the words you are the sound
A strange type of chemistry, how you’ve become a part of me
And when I sit alone at night, your thoughts burn through me like a fire
You’re the only one who knows who I really am.

We all wanna be somebody, we just need a taste of who we are.
We all wanna be somebody, we’re willing to go but not that far.

And we’re all see through, just like glass
And we can shatter just as fast
That light’s been burned out for a while,
I still see it every time I pass
It was lost in the corners of my mind,
Behind a box of reasons why
I never doubted it was there,
It just took a little time to find and even when…

I feel a million miles away, still you connect me in your way
And you create in me something I would’ve never seen

When I could only see the floor, you made my window a door
So when they say they don’t believe I hope that they see you and me

After all the lights go down, I’m just the words you are the sound
A strange type of chemistry, how you’ve become a part of me
And when I sit alone at night, your thoughts burn through me like a fire
You’re the only one who knows who I really am

We all wanna be somebody, we just need a taste of who we are
We all wanna be somebody, we’re willing to go but not that far

this should be a song sam sings sometime when he makes another song

      • It should be but Maggie would have to get permission from Thousand Foot Krutch to use their song. It’s my fave song. ♥

For the audio version, will Dan Bittner & Emma Galvin be reprising their readings of Cole & Isabel? I hope so – I’ve associated their voices with those characters for so long now that it would be strange to heard someone else.

Hello, Maggie! I was just curious if you personally knew anything about Fountain Bookstore’s shipping and whatnot? I ordered two signed copies of Sinner back in July, because I love the Wolves of Mercy Falls and so does my boyfriend, and they sent me an email saying that they received payment back in July. However, it is now October and I still haven’t even gotten a shipping notification! No packages in the mail, no refund… Just silence! It’s really quite distressing. If there is anything you could do about it, I would really appreciate it! I really wanted to go meet you at the book signing, but alas, the closest location was a 7 hour drive away… -insert sad kitten .gif here- Haha so yeah, any influence you may have on them would be delightful…Thanks! -long-distance air-hug-

Hi Maggie! I have finished Sinner and absolutely loved it! Couldnt put the book down and the Shiver series is my ultimate fav – you are an amazing writer. I know this is a long shot but are you going to be adding another sneeky addition to the series? I know there isn’t much of an opening for one about Cole and Isabelle or Grace and Sam but there is an opening for Sofia?! She is a great character that can be explored into a book .. about finding her confidence.. her amazing cooking/baking – opening up her own cafe/shop .. and finding some form of love with a wolf twist in there some where. Would be interesting if one of the couples in the book had a wolf/child?! Just an idea as I would hate to never read another extension book of that series as it is written incredibly and it seems to speak to so many different thinking minds and imaginations of people. xx Anna – Australia.

Maggie stiefvater I love the three books of you so much that I myself is dragged in a situation where I cannot decide to choose real world or Mercy falls whatever I read from the last two books of yours SHIVER AND LINGER I am being emotionally dragged in. I nearly wished that I was as lucky as SAM AND COLE to get a dual body and a true mate of yours like GRACE AND ISABEL . Nearly two weeks ago I don’t knew you but after reading SHIVER TRIOLOGY AND LINGER I am your fan dear .
